The rules are there for a reason.
Sadly, these two Myanmar men were tragically killed for not following the rule to not cross the railway track.
On Apr 14, at around 6 pm the two men were believed to be trying to take a shortcut to a nearby area by crossing the tracks.
However, both of them were hit by a train at near the Kepong station.
The incident happened when the train was heading towards the Sungai Buloh station with 30 people onboard.
“The driver immediately stopped the train when he realised that he had hit somethinh. He later saw the victims thrown onto the side to the tracks,” Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad said in a statement.
It also said that the accident was immediately reported to the police.
All passengers on the affected train were transferred to another train to continue their journey.
This is a lesson for all, please do not ever try to cross the railway tracks.
