Two teenage girls Divyaa Munian and Natsgatra Navanita have reportedly gone missing since last night, Apr 14.

Divyaa's mother, Shanthi Theshaja has posted on Facebook regarding the matter and is asking netizens to help find both girls.

According to Shanthi, the two had gone to a nearby temple for the Tamil New Year prayers.

In her FB post, she said the two girls aged 15 and 16, were last seen at the Maxwell Tower Condo, Jalan Gasing Indah, at around 11.40pm.

After celebrating the New Year at the nearby temple, Divyaa went to spend some time in Natshatra's house, which is 10 minutes from Divyaa's house.

"Around 11 pm, she texted me that she was taking a Grab home but she never came home," Shanthi said.

It is learned that Natshatra had accompanied Divyaa downstairs to wait for the Grab ride, which was later cancelled.

One of the girls' family members also learned from the condo's security guard that he saw the two girls walking out of the apartment area together.

“It is possible they decided to walk back because they were only 10 minutes away. I have no idea what happened to them on their way here,” she said.

Parents of both the girls have lodged police reports on their disappearances.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din confirmed the case and said a thorough investigation is being conducted.

Meanwhile, a Grab spokesperson said the e-hailing company is aware of the situation.

From its records, the passenger cancelled the ride, so the driver proceeded to pick up another passenger.

“We are in touch with the family and have given them suggestions on possible actions such as checking if there are CCTVs nearby and any footage they can review,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

In the meantime, anyone who happened to see these two girls anywhere, please help alert the nearest police station.

YC team hopes both of them are unharmed and will be found soon.
