Missing girls Divyaa Munian and Natshatra Navinata were finally found safe and sound.
However, it is believed that the reason for their disappearance is because one of them wanted to leave home while the other was only accompanying her friend.
According to Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din, one of the girls was unhappy with her mother and did not want to go home on the day of the incident.
However, both of them were eventually found by one of the girls' aunts in Shah Alam.
Mohd Zani said after the aunt found both the 16 and 15-year-old missing girls at the Batu 3 KTM Komuter at around 2 pm, she took them to her home in Sungai Buloh.
It seems like the aunt had slow talked with the two girls and convinced them to follow her to the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters at around 7 pm.
It was reported that on Sunday, the night of their disappearance, the two had gone to a nearby temple for the Tamil New Year prayers.
Divyaa’s mother named Shanthi Theshaja had also posted on Facebook regarding the matter and asked netizens to help find both girls.
According to the mother as well, Divyaa was said to have booked a Grab ride home, with Natshatra accompanying her to the lobby of her condominium in Jalan Gasing Indah.
However, the Grab ride was cancelled and the girls did not return home, causing their families to lodge police reports.
