A video of a 16-year-old boy bullying a 13-year-old boy outside a school has gone viral.
The bullying incident is said to have happened on April 17, outside a secondary school in Taman Megah Ria, Johor Bahru.
The Form 1 student who was being bullied is reportedly a student there.
Based on the less than 30-seconds-long video, the Form 4 student who is wearing glasses and a black t-shirt is seen sitting across the boy that he was bullying and slapping him.
However, after the incident and video went viral, a man claiming to be the father of the 16-year-old boy has openly apologised on Facebook for his son's behaviour.
The father said that his son was expelled from school prior to the bullying incident.
"I have tried to educate and explain to him and I hope everyone can give him another chance! A child's mistake is their parents' responsibility. He has stepped on the wrong path! Please give him another chance!
"As his father, I want to apologise to everyone, and I hope he can be given a chance to change," read the man's Facebook post.
Netizens were quick to respond to the video and father's post, they said:
So, what do you think of this issue? Do you think there should be stricter punishment for bullies.
