Private school student gets 38 stitches after being bashed up by another student

Are private schools really better than public schools?
Well, most of us are under the impression that being able to send out kids to a private school is always a better option.
We tend to think these schools are better than public schools and there are less acts of violence there.
However, recently, a 15-year-old student from a private school in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur almost lost his left eye when he was bashed up by another student.
Police have since taken statements from the school authorities and also from the victim's mother and witnesses.
The victim ended up with 38 stitches to his face and spent a week at the Gleneagles Hospital.
The worse part is that the school even tried to cover up the incident, claiming the victim had a seizure and sustained the injuries as a result of a fall.
When the victim was sent to the hospital by the school nurse, she told the doctor that he had a seizure.
"But in actual fact, he was beaten up," said the mother who took to Facebook.
She wrote that even the assistant principal confirmed that the injuries were due to a fall.
The mother than lodged a police report and following that, a 14-year-old suspect was suspended from school for three days
The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt.
Members of the public who have any information on the case are urged to contact Inspector Emilia Jamil at 016-2479017, Senior Investigation Officer ASP Shahrizal Salleh at 017-7134705, or any police station.
