Malaysians have another payment option with Boost introducing its digital payment system.

Launched during the Youth Export Day at Matrade, the e-wallet system will be able to promote a cashless system that is easier and safer.

Axiata Digital CEO Mohd Khairil Abdullah said Boost was prepared to lend its support to entrepreneurs in helping them digitize their businesses.

He said this at the launch of the event that aims to promote global entrepreneurship among Malaysia's youth and help them go international.

"Young entrepreneurs will one day become the backbone of the Malaysian economy and we are excited to see where the next generation will take us in this digital journey," Khairil said.

Boost has partnered with a large number of merchants, bringing 60,000 touchpoints where customers can use Boost.

"This benefits businesses many-fold due to the ease of keeping track of transactions and eliminating the tedious problem of handling cash," he added.

The key features include cashback, utility bills payment, parking, cashless donations, prepaid top-up, train and bus tickets including ERL and KTM, money transfer and also food delivery.

Boost is part of the Axiata Group and is constantly improving and offering new features and services, particularly for entrepreneurs.
