It now seems that it takes very little for someone to get violent. Take the following case for an example.
In a viral CCTV video, a middle-aged man was seen hitting a female cashier at a local grocery store and police are now hunting for him.
The incident took place at Bayan Lepas, Penang, at around 8.40 am last Tuesday.
According to OCPD Supt A. Anbalagan, the man wanted to buy three packets of oil but the cashier told him he could only buy two packets as that was the purchase limit per customer.
The man flew into a rage after being told so and started verbally abusing her before slapping her. He then allegedly told the cashier ‘lu jaga (beware)’ before storming off.
Anbalagan reportedly said as result of the incident, the victim now has back pain and is in fear.
The case is being investigated for criminal intimidation under the Penal Code.
A video of the victim talking about the incident has also been posted on FB, garnering many responses.
