Is this the sad state of our para athletes?

Is this the sorry state of our para athletes these days?
Well, if it is, seriously time for the Youth & Sports Ministry to open their eyes and do something about it.
Malaysian para cyclist, Mohamad Syazwan Roshidi, who won gold medals in road race events (C1, C2, C3) at last year's 9th Asean Para Games was recently spotted living in a sorry state at a surau.
Former national cyclist, Rizal Tisin bumped into him at the surau in the CIQ building in Johor Bahru when he went there to pray recently.
According to a post by Rizal, Syazwan has been staying there for the last three nights after he was allegedly cheated by someone who promised him a job in Singapore.
He said he was trying to get a job after he failed to get any offer from the National Sports Council to become a full-time athlete.
According to Rizal, Syazwan had promised his mother that he was going to get a job in Singapore.
"Syazwan had also not eaten nor had a bath as he had lost all his money to the person who promised him a job," added Rizal.
Well, let's hope the relevant bodies get in touch with Syazwan and not forget his contributions to the nation.
Just because he is a para athlete, that does not mean he should suffer such a fate right?
