Saying 'Ko bodoh' to a minister is now a criminal offence?

It seems like the conflict between Youth and Sport Minister, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and blogger Papagomo has no ending.
Papagomo or Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court in Kajang on two charges in connection with the alleged assault on Syed Saddiq during nomination day for the Semenyih by-election two weeks ago.
The Umno Youth executive council member was charged with intending to insult the minister by saying "ko bodoh" (you're stupid) and with voluntarily causing hurt on Syed Saddiq.
However, the decision to charge Papagomo for saying "ko bodoh" seems to be wrong to some.
Author and host Boo Su Lyn, believed that the charge was simply ridiculous to be seen as a criminal offence.
Lawyer Syahredzan Johan also hoped the prosecution will reconsider the charge.
Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng also concurred with the believe that 'ko bodoh' was not supposed to be a criminal charge.
Previously, Deputy Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim had said that the altercation between Syed Saddiq and Papagomo was simply a misunderstanding.
Maybe it is time for all to focus on more important citizens concerns.
There are a numbers of things which need more focus by the minister and politicians.
